How do you define Feminism?
It’s difficult to define feminism, but I can tell you what it means to me. I believe feminism is creating a safe space for anyone who wants to learn, grown, and become a better human. We can’t be equal until we learn to appreciate and lift each other up.
How would you improve the world in one small way?
I’d put an end to toxic masculinity. It breaks my heart that there are little boys who are being shamed for their gentle nature.
Where in Central Florida do you go to think/relax/enjoy?
Do you want the full list?
In all seriousness, you’ll find me at any of our local coffee shops, but The Heavy in Winter Park is my happy place. I love hanging out among the plants.
Where do you get your best ideas?
My dreams, breathtaking art that leaves a lasting impression, and the world around me.
What do you wake up for each morning?
I wake up for the possibility of what lies ahead. Living with depression, some days you don’t want to wake up and it’s not always easy, but optimism can be your best friend.
Fun Fact about Dina!
Most Formative Book:
This is hard to answer because of the current state of the series, but the Harry Potter books were so important to me when I was younger. I never knew you could lose yourself in another world, and become best friends someone you’d never met, until I read the Sorcerer’s Stone. As I got older, I realized I wanted to write a story that would have the same impact on someone else.
